How to Reduce Image Size to 100 KB or 200 KB for Online Forms

Updated October 27, 2026

Visa forms, job portals and exam registrations often accept photos only up to 20, 50 or 100 KB. A normal phone photo has several MB.

Compress to an exact size

Choose your target size in the tool on this page (20 KB, 50 KB, 100 KB, 200 KB, 500 KB or 1 MB) and drop your image. FileFlip shrinks it until it fits and shows you the final size.

Get a sharper result

  • Crop the photo first. A smaller area needs fewer KB.
  • For passport-style photos, stick to the pixel size the form asks for.
  • If your photo is a HEIC or WebP file, convert it to JPG first.

Your photos stay private

FileFlip compresses images in your browser. Your ID or passport photo never gets uploaded.
